Newsletter Test

Dear AmazeWorks community,

We know the back-to-school season is busy. That’s why this month’s newsletter is short and sweet. AmazeWorks wishes our anti-bias educators, caregivers, and students a school year full of growth, care, and the tools we need to adapt to change. In this newsletter, we highlight one of our newest staff members, share resources to help us start off this school year with confidence, and invite you to celebrate 26 years of AmazeWorks with us on October 6.

In the midst all of the chaos back-to-school season brings, we hope you are able to find time to tend to your needs and tap into lots of joy. Happy September!

At the start of the summer, our wonderful board member, Tina Alvir-Romero, transitioned to the AmazeWorks staff as co-Director of Education! Before joining the Amaze team full time, Tina taught Spanish and ESL in public, private, and charter schools for 14 years. At her school, Tina also served alongside the Director of DEI to provide professional development and programming for teachers and parents and was a co-leader for the elementary level

affinity group for students of color. She is passionate about teaching from a culturally competent perspective and creating a sense of belonging for all students in her classroom. In her spare time, Tina enjoys reading, walking, and exploring new sights in Minnesota with her family. We are so grateful to have Tina on our team!
