Alissa Abelson

Alissa Abelson

Alissa Abelson (she/her) is the Dean of Student at Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, a public charter high school located in downtown Saint Paul. Alissa’s careers involve mental health and education. She began her professional life with a masters in counseling where she worked as a mental health professional with adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. After receiving a teaching license in 2005 in K-6 education with a concentration in middle school social studies, Alissa has taught at varying levels. In the last three years Alissa moved into school administration with a focus in Charter School Leadership. In the fall of 2023 Alissa will pursue her k-12 principal licensure.
